About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced Career Coach to join our team! If you love helping people navigate career changes, land their dream jobs, and feel more confident in their professional lives, this might be the perfect fit for you.
As a Career Coach with Colorful Futures, you’ll work 1-on-1 with clients through our existing coaching packages, which include:
Intensive Coaching
Mini-Pack Sessions
3-Month Career Coaching Program

This is a commission-based position with bonus opportunities. Your earnings will be determined by various factors, including the packages your clients sign up for and the chosen sliding scale tier. This role has the potential to earn up to $60/hour.
What You’ll Do
Help clients develop a roadmap to understand their career goals, values, strengths, and needs using practical tool and exercises
Provide expert guidance on navigating the current job market
Give feedback and help write resumes, cover letters, and LinkedIn profiles (we’ll train you on our approach)
Support clients in preparing for job interviews by improving their interview techniques, communication skills, and overall confidence.
Offer encouragement and validation along with practical advice and expert insights
Deliver coaching sessions using our structured programs, including live virtual coaching sessions and async support through Discord and Email
Assist with supporting participants in group settings (ie. webinars, group programs)
Maintain a minimum average of 2 client sessions per week
Who You Are
2+ years of experience as a coach, advisor, or mentor supporting others in job searching, career exploration, or navigating the workplace
Grounded in an inclusive, anti-oppressive framework—you're affirming of queer, trans, neurodivergent, BIPOC, and disabled folks, with a special focus on individuals with ADHD/AuDHD
Trauma-informed, or at least aware of how past harm (from workplaces, school, systems, etc.) can shape someone’s experience of career decision-making
Skilled at offering practical support and emotional validation
Expertise in career development, resume writing, job searching, interview strategies, and offer negotiation
Comfortable using online scheduling tools such as Cal.com or similar
Familiar with communicating in remote environments across multiple US-based time zones using tools like Slack, Discord, Notion, and Google Workspace (Gmail, Calendar, Sheets, Docs, Drive, Meet)
Willingness to work within Colorful Futures' payment structure (incl. sliding scale, payment plans)
You don’t need to have it all figured out—none of us do. What matters most is your ability to support folks with curiosity, respect, flexibility, and care. We encourage you to apply if you meet at least 50% of the qualifications listed
Other Details
This is a fully remote, commission-based contractor (1099) position
Flexible hours and the ability to create your own schedule
At this time, we can only consider applicants who are U.S. residents.
Hiring Process
We will be reviewing applications on a rolling basis until the role is filled
The interview process includes a 20-minute phone interview, a paid test assignment, and a 30-minute video interview
We are looking to fill this role ASAP. Our ideal candidate can be available for onboarding on Monday May 19th
