Job Title: Resume Writer (Contractor)

Role Overview:

We're looking for a talented Resume Writer to join our team and help clients create standout resumes that showcase their unique skills and career goals. This is a 1099 contractor position, with work assigned on a project-by-project basis. As a contractor, we'll reach out when we need your resume expertise, rather than having you work on a fixed schedule. You'll collaborate closely with our team, receiving detailed information about each client's background. Your task? Transform this info into compelling resumes that catch the eye of recruiters and hiring managers, often for specialized fields like IT, business intelligence, creative marketing, and administrative roles.

Responsibilities:

• Craft awesome resumes that show off our clients' skills and match what they're looking for in their careers.

• Dig into all the info our clients give us - their stories, experiences, and goals - and use it to create resumes that really make them shine.

• Team up with the Colorful Futures crew to make sure each resume is top-notch before we send it off.

• Keep track of your to-do list using Notion, our go-to project management tool.

• Aim to get each resume done within 3-4 business days, giving us time to look it over before it goes out.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of experience reviewing resumes, preferably in a hiring or recruitment capacity.

• Bonus: Experience as a recruiter, especially within an agency setting.

• Bonus: Career coaching experience or prior resume writing for clients or friends.

• Familiarity with Notion or a similar project management tool.

• Strong attention to detail, particularly in identifying and correcting grammatical errors, inconsistent formatting, and typos in written content.

• Experience or understanding of at least one of the following industries is preferred

  • Creative (writers, marketers, designers)

  • IT and Cybersecurity

  • Administrative roles (executive assistants, coordinators)

  • Business intelligence

  • Therapy and healthcare

• Bonus: Strong understanding of LinkedIn profile optimization.

Pay:

This is a project-based role, and pay will be competitive and may vary depending on experience and the complexity of each resume. Rates will be determined based on industry standards and specific expertise.

Role Overview:

We’re looking for an organized Administrative Virtual Assistant (VA) to join the Colorful Futures team and start immediately. In this role, you’ll be setting up communications and automations in Discord, as well as assisting with tasks in Notion, Slack, and ActiveCampaign. You'll be responsible for creating automation flows, formatting, and scheduling communications. This is a 1099 contractor position for up to 5 hours per week with a contract end date of Sunday, January 5th, with the potential for more hours and a long term position in the future.

Key Responsibilities:

• Discord Programming: Set up and format communications and automations in Discord, including markdown and bots like Carlbot.

• Notion Organization: Manage data entry and task organization within Notion to keep projects running smoothly.

• ActiveCampaign & Communication Support: Help format, set up, and schedule communications through ActiveCampaign.

• Document Formatting: Organize and format documents using our brand guide.

Who You Are:

• Proficient in Discord programming, including markdown, automations, and working with bots like Carlbot.

• Comfortable using Notion, Slack, Google Docs, and ActiveCampaign.

• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

• Bonus: Experience using Descript or a similar tool for processing recordings.

• Able to work within US/Eastern or US/Central time zones.

• $20/hour pay rate to start.

• Starting with up to 5 hours per week, with room to grow if we’re a good fit.
