Career First Aid

hands-on healing for your work life

a workshop series by Colorful Futures®
Hosted by Liora & Caitlin

October - December 2025

The job market right now? Absolutely bonkers.

You're applying to dozens of jobs and hearing nothing back.

Your job search is draining every ounce of energy you have.

You're getting interviews but not making it to the offer stage.

You know what you don't want in a job, but you're unclear on what you do want.

Your resume feels like it's not doing you justice.

LinkedIn feels like a necessary evil that makes your skin crawl.

If any of this sounds familiar, you're not alone—and you're in the right place.

You don't need another generic "just network more" workshop.

You need neurodivergent-friendly, practical support that actually works with your brain.

You need tools and strategies that protect your energy instead of depleting it.

You need someone who gets it—someone who's been on both sides of the hiring process and understands what it's like to navigate a job search as a neurodivergent person.

That's what Career First Aid is here for.

This is compassionate career care built for neurodivergent job seekers.

Career First Aid gives you practical remedies to:

✨ Get clarity on what career path actually fits

✨ Build application materials that get responses

✨ Create a sustainable search approach that protects your energy

✨ Develop interview strategies that help you become the first choice

✨ Make LinkedIn work for you (without losing your soul)

And here's the thing: Fall is still a busier hiring season. Which means now is the time to get your search strategy, resume, and confidence where they need to be.

The Program:

Career First Aid is a 5-workshop series running from October through December 2025.

All sessions are live, interactive, and designed to give you hands-on time to actually implement what you're learning—not just listen to someone talk at you.

Small group atmosphere – we keep things intimate so you're not just another face in a crowd of hundreds.

What we’ll cover:

🩺 Career Checkup

Establishing your job search baseline

🗓️ Thursday, October 23

This is where we start—getting honest about where you are and where you want to go. We'll help you identify your career dealbreakers, must-haves, and nice-to-haves so you can stop applying to jobs that aren't actually a fit.

You'll walk away with:

  • Clarity on 2-3 specific job titles to target

  • A list of your non-negotiables, bare minimums, and stretch goals

  • Keywords for your job search that actually align with what you want

❤️‍🩹 Resume CPR

Resuscitate the heart of your application

🗓️ 3-part series: Tuesday Oct 28, Wednesday Oct 29, Thursday Oct 30

Your resume is often the first (and sometimes only) impression you make. We'll break down each section, help you showcase your translatable skills, and give you real-time feedback so your resume actually gets you responses.

You'll walk away with:

  • A polished, targeted resume that highlights your strengths

  • Strategies for tailoring your resume to different roles

  • Confidence that your application materials represent you well

💪 Visibility Vital Signs

Leveraging LinkedIn for your job search

🗓️ Thursday, November 13

LinkedIn doesn't have to be a soulless corporate wasteland. We'll show you how to optimize your profile, make it work for you, and use it as a tool without feeling like you're performing or losing yourself in the process.

You'll walk away with:

  • An optimized LinkedIn profile that attracts recruiters

  • Practical strategies for using LinkedIn authentically

  • Ways to make the platform work for you (not the other way around)

🧰 Pre-App Search Strategy

Avoiding burnout during your search

🗓️ Thursday, November 20

Included in Advanced First Aid only

Job searching can be exhausting, especially when you're neurodivergent. This workshop is all about creating a sustainable approach that protects your energy and keeps you from burning out before you even get to the interview stage.

You'll walk away with:

  • A personalized job search strategy that works with your brain

  • Tools to manage overwhelm and avoid burnout

  • Systems to make your search more efficient and less draining

🫶 Post-App Care

Successful interviewing & offer negotiation

🗓️ Thursday, December 11

Included in Advanced First Aid only

Interviews can be nerve-wracking, but they don't have to be. We'll help you prepare with confidence, practice talking about your experience without rambling, and navigate offer negotiations so you get what you deserve.

You'll walk away with:

  • Strategies for asking for accommodations and identifying red flags

  • Confidence in presenting your experience effectively

  • Tools for evaluating and negotiating job offers

🧰 BONUS: Job Loss Survival Kit

Included in Advanced First Aid only

A comprehensive resource for crisis management if you're navigating sudden job loss, layoffs, or unexpected career transitions.

Career First Aid is for you if…

✔️ You're a neurodivergent job seeker who's tired of generic advice that doesn't work for your brain

✔️ You're feeling overwhelmed, burnt out, or stuck in your job search

✔️ You want practical tools and strategies (not just motivation or manifestation BS)

✔️ You're ready to invest time and energy into building a sustainable approach

✔️ You value being part of a community that understands your lived experience

It's not for you if...

❌ You're looking for a magic solution without putting in the work

❌ You want someone to just hand you a job (we can't do that!)

❌ You prefer traditional, neurotypical job search advice

❌ You're not open to self-reflection or clarifying what you actually want

You don't have to push through this alone.

The job market is tough right now. But with the right support, tools, and community, you can navigate it without losing yourself in the process.

Career First Aid is here to help.
