Conversations,
Not Just Presentations

We didn't want to build two days of

Speaker talks at you → next speaker talks at you → repeat until everyone's brain becomes soup.

So the Neuroqueer Career Summit includes different ways of learning and participating.

Word to the Wise 🌻

  • A sustainable career is an ambitious career.

  • There is no moral superiority in being busy.

  • A nonlinear career is still a career.

  • Your career can support your life instead of becoming your entire life.

  • You haven't failed because the traditional career ladder wasn't built for the way you climb.

  • You don't have to earn accommodations by suffering first.

  • Different does not automatically mean deficient.

  • Your capacity is information, not a character flaw.

  • You don't owe your younger self the future they imagined before they had all the information.

  • You deserve fair compensation without having to prove you're exceptional.

  • Undercharging is not a requirement for being community-minded.

  • There is room for the version of you that is still figuring things out.

  • Your career is allowed to accommodate the fact that you are a person.
